DAY 1 Arrival to Bishkek

Arrival to the capital airport by morning flight. Our representative will meet you at the airport and arrange group transfer to 3* hotel in Bishkek. After a short rest you will join an excursion to Ala-Archa National Park and stay for lunch there. City sightseeing tour.

DAY 2 Bishkek – Chon Kemin National Park

Transfer to the National Park Chon-Kemin after the breakfast, the distance from the capital is about 140 km and it takes 2-3 hours. We will visit the ancient architectural monument –Burana Tower on the way.

Accommodation in comfortable rooms of local guest house. Internet and three meals a day will be provided. Folklore programs, horseback riding, cart (telega) riding or show “Kyrgyz Yurt installation” can be arranged on request.

DAY 3 National Park Chon Kemin – Issyk-Kul Lake

Transfer to the Northern coast of the Issyk-Kul Lake and stay close Cholpon-Ata town. Transfer takes about three and a half hours. The hotel is located on the coast.

Additionally, we can arrange visit to the local village for traditional boorsok show on the way to the hotel. Boorsok is local bread. You can taste this delicious national dish and try to cook it by your hands.

DAY 4 Cholpon-Ata – Karakol

Transfer to Karakol city. The trip takes approximately two hours; the distance between two cities is 140 km. Excursion to the Museum of petroglyphs (stones’ park in the open air; unique drawings of animals and plants still clearly visible on the stones, as well as action painting, which reflects people life in different eras) on the way.

DAY 5 Karakol – Tamga

Transfer to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, Tamga village. It takes no more than two hours, the distance is about jne hundred kilometers. On the way, we will visit to Djety-Oguz gorge, where you can walk along the gorge and ride horses.

DAY 6 Tamga village – Kochkor village

Transfer to Kochkor village, visit the local Handicraft Museum, get to know more about the culture and life of the Kyrgyz people. Here you can learn techniques of national carpets (Shyrdak) manufacture and produce your own.

DAY 7 Kochkor village – Son-Kul Lake

Transfer to the coast of the picturesque alpine Son-Kul Lake, located 120 kilometers far from Kochkor. You will have time to take a walk along the shore of the lake, visit the yurts of local shepherds, will get to know life of nomadic Kyrgyz, taste kymyz (Kyrgyz national drink made from fermented mare’s milk) and ride on horses.

DAY 8 Son-Kul Lake – Tash-Rabat caravanserai

After a delicious breakfast, we will have quite long journey via Naryn Town to the caravanserai Tash-Rabat. The total distance is 260 kilometers; time for transfer is about five hours. On arrival we will visit famous historical monument, walk along the stone corridors of ancient building and along the valley covered with flowers.

DAY 9 Tash-Rabat – Bishkek

Transfer from Tash-Rabat Valley to the capital of Kyrgyzstan – Bishkek. It takes about 8 hours. The distance is 470 km along the roads of beautiful Kyrgyzstan.

DAY 10 Departure

Airport transfer after breakfast in the hotel.

Torugart – Naryn. Meet the group at the Chinese-Kyrgyz border post of Torugart. Transfer to Naryn (200 km. 4-5 hours drive). Please note that border post is closed from 1 pm until 3 pm. Optional: Transfer to Tash-Rabat (30 km of extra mileage) and excursion to a XII Century caravanserai in Tash-Rabat. Dinner and overnight in the “Bagtygul” Guest House.

DAY 2

DAY 1

Arrival to Almaty.

Our representatives will meet you at the airport and arrange transfer to the hotel for you. After a short rest you will join city-tour and visit to 28 Panfilov’s Park and The Ascension Cathedral, located near the Museum of Musical Instruments, the State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic Square, where the Monument of Independence is located. City tour schedule includes also visit to Abai Opera and Ballet Theater and Medeo Complex. Three-star hotel accommodation is included in the price.

DAY 2

Almaty – Bishkek

After breakfast you will go to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Jorney takes about 5 hours; the distance is 250 km; we will need extra time for customs procedure at the border. Travelers will stay in Bishkek in the hotel. After some rest at the hotel you will go to explore Kyrgyz capital. City tour includes visit to Fine Arts Museum, the State Philharmonic, the Ala-Too Central Square, Victory Square and souvenir shops.

DAY 3

Bishkek – Ala-Archa Nature Park – Chon-Kemin Nature Park

After breakfast transfer to Ala-Archa National Park (40 km from the capital) for short excursion and further trip to Chon-Kemin Natural Park. The distance between the parks is 175 km. Driving time is about 3 hours.

The main program can optionally include: folklore-show, horseback riding, as well as horse-driving cart. We will arrange your accommodation in a comfortable guest house and provide you with full board.

DAY 4. Chon-Kemin Nature Park – Tamga Village

Breakfast at the guest house. Morning transfer to the Southern side of Issyk-Kul Lake. You will enjoy beauty of virgin nature, mountain slopes of the Tien Shan with nomads’ yurts on the way. Upon arrival, you can walk around after some rest in guest house “Tamga” (the price of the program includes dinner and breakfast in the guest house).

DAY 5. Tamga Village – Karakol Town – Cholpon-Ata Town

After breakfast we will arrange morning transfer to Karakol Town (100 km far from Tamga Village). You will visit the Muslim Mosque and the Orthodox Church, the Museum of Przewalsky and Oriental Bazaar this day. Further we will move to Cholpon-Ata in the afternoon. On arrival check- in and rest in the hotel.

DAY 6. Cholpon – Ata Town

After breakfast at the hotel you will go for excursion to the Museum of Ancient Petroglyphs at the open air. In afternoon you will have time for rest on the beach of Issyk-Kul Lake. Optionally, you can go by boat across the lake.

DAY 7. Cholpon- Ata Town – Bishkek

Breakfast. Morning departure to Bishkek. You will visit the ancient minaret-Burana tower (X-XI centuries) on the way. Check-in and rest in the hotel upon arrival. You will have time for last-minute shopping this day.

DAY 8. Bishkek – Almaty

Early breakfast and transfer back to Almaty? Kazakhstan. You will have time to walk around the city, buy souvenirs and taste local cuisine upon arrival after registration procedure at the hotel.

DAY 9. Departure

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the Almaty airport takes 20 minutes. Airport formalities and flight to the next destination.

Yurt Inns in the area of Son-Kul Lake operate from mid-June until the mid-September.

DAY 1. Arrival

On this day your airplane will land at the “Manas” airport, where you will be met by our representative. Further you will have the group transfer to the capital hotel 3*. After check-in and some rest in the room you can walk along the streets of the main city of Kyrgyzstan, taste unusual dishes of local cuisine in one of the cozy restaurants.

Attention! Meal in the hotel is not included.

DAY 2. Bishkek – Son-Kul

You should get up early this day and after Breakfast we will arrange your transfer to the shore of Son-Kul Lake. The distance is about 360 km. It is planned to stop for lunch in Kochkor Village.

We will reach yurt camp, located on the coast of Son-Kul Lake, in afternoon only. The coast of the lake is the place of nomads staying since ancient times. Local shepherds come here to the present day and stay here before the cold weather set in. There are numerous of yurt camps at the pastures. Programme participants will be accommodated in one of the camps.

You will enjoy tasty Kyrgyz dinner, try national drinks kymyz and airan and listen legends and history of this place located on the Great Silk Road.

DAY 3. Son-Kul – Issyl-Kul

The group will go to the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake after traditional breakfast in the yurt. On the way we will visit the Museum of ancient petroglyphs in the open air, where we keep some artifacts from two thousand years BC. Unique drawings of animals and plants still clearly visible on the stones, as well as action painting, which reflects people life in different eras.

The next stop is Issyk-Kul Lake. You will explore the area, discover some historical facts and have the opportunity to swim in the high mountain lake. Guest house is available for tourists.

DAY 4. Issyk-Kul Shore – Bishkek

After breakfast, it is planned to come back to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The distance is approximately 250 kilometers. We will stop on the way for excursion to the Burana tower and the ruins of the ancient city of Eastern Turks Balasagun, which was built on the Great Silk Road in the XI – XIII centuries. Comfortable rooms will be prepared for you upon arrival in city hotel 3*.

DAY 5. Bishkek – Airport

Transfer to the capital airport after breakfast in the hotel. Departure.

Kyrgyzstan very interesting country on Great Silk Road where nomads traditions connected with settled way of life, Kyrgyz cuisine has absorbed all tastes of the central Asians peoples. Modern national cuisine is represented by dishes of Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, Uighurs, Dundgangs. Meat is the main ingredient of national dishes, beef, mutton, horse. Ancient traditions of nomadic life style of Kyrgyz is influence on this fact.

During this tour we will taste most popular national dishes and drinks.

DAY 1. Bishkek

Meeting at the airport. Short sightseeing after rest. Today we will prepare most popular dish of all holidays – plov.

Plov is a traditional medium Asian dish, originally from the Fergana Valley and common in southern Kyrgyzstan.

The basis of the dish is rice, carrots and meat, first fried and then cooked. There are a lot of variations of preparing this dish, each village has own receipt and secrets.

DAY 2. Bishkek – Cholpon-Ata

Transfer to Cholpon-Ata (260km), driving time 4-5 hours. Visit Burana Tower on the way. We will make stop in the small Issyk-Kul village Tamchy for boorsok show. Boorsok is dough of different shapes fried in oil. We will take part in making and cooking boorsok and will taste it with tea and kaimak (greasy cream).

Next national dish is kuurdak (fried meat with onion and spices). Overnight in guest house.

DAY 3. Cholpon-Ata –Karakol

We continue our trip and after breakfast transfer to cozy town – Karakol. It is possible to visit Semenov gorge and make short hiking. Short excursion around city and after tasting the most popular dish of Karakol – ash-lyanfu (cold soup with vegetable souse, noodles and starch). Dinner in local Dundgangs family with various national dishes and salads. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 4. Karakol – Kochkor

After breakfast transfer to Kochkor village, visit Skazka canyon on the way. Today we will cook the favorite traditional dish – besh barmak.

Beshbarmak is chopped meat, which is served with noodles, onions and strong meat broth. It is noteworthy that traditionally beshbarmak is eaten by hand.

Translation from Kyrgyz, “beshbarmak” means “five fingers”. Beshbarmak is widespread mainly in the north of Kyrgyzstan, in the Chui, Talas and Naryn regions. Overnight in guest house.

DAY 5. Kochkor – Son-Kul Lake

Next place of discover is Son-Kul Lake where we will meet nomads and their real life. Today we will try real drink kumyz (traditional drink made from mare’s milk by thoroughly whipping).

Today we will have dymdama (stewed vegetables with meat). Dinner and overnight in Yurt Inn.

DAY 6. Son-Kul – Bishkek

After breakfast short walking or horseback riding and transfer to Bishkek (360 km). Farewell dinner in the ethno complex Supara with folklore show and tasting the best national dishes of Kyrgyz cuisine.

DAY 7. Departure

Check-out. Airport transfer. Morning airport transfer. Departure.

DAY 1. Bishkek –Naryn

This part of the tour starts in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. You will depart to Naryn early in the morning. Travel time is approximately 5-6 hours, taking into account, that several stops are planned during the trip. We will visit to the monument of cultural heritage of the Republic-the Burana tower. This is perhaps the oldest building of such type in Central Asia. It dates from the X-XI centuries. After the group will go to the Kochkor Village to enjoy the colorful dishes of Kyrgyz cuisine for the lunch and to learn more about local national traditions. You will see folklore show, and can buy national felt hand made products produced by Kyrgyz needlewomen. Arrival to Naryn in the evening. You will stay at cozy guest house and get a delicious dinner.

DAY 2. Naryn – Torugart Pass

Today the group will have to wake up early in the morning. It is very important to be at the border some hours before afternoon. Border office is closed for lunch break from 12.00 to 15.00 p.m.; registration at that time will be impossible.

We will arrange your transfer to the pass separated two countries just after breakfast. The distance is almost 200 kilometers. Transfer takes about 3-4 hours. Next you will need to go through the customs control, fill and submit all necessary documents. As a rule, the procedure takes no more than one hour. You will meet staff of Chinese partner at the opposite side of the border and continue your journey along the Great Silk Road.
