Minimum technical requirements:

  • Mountaineering experience in the mountains up to 2000-2500m and ascents of easy technical level
  • Basic skills in using climbing equipment
  • Attaching to the rope and other climbing knots
  • Moving efficiently over rocky 'scrambling' terrain;
  • Belaying and protection techniques on rock, ice and snow
  • Use of crampons and ice axe on snow and ice
  • Taking coils and moving together with the rope
  • Safe glacier travel and crevasse rescue
  • Descending on snow and ice
  • Alpine navigation and interpretation of maps and guidebook
  • Selection and preparation of climbing equipment
  • First medical aid


Conditions and notes:

  • Prices are valid for groups booked and fully paid 8 weeks before arrival or earlier. In the case of late booking and payment (less than 8 weeks) an extra charge of US$70 per person is charged for formalities.
  • For individuals and groups of up to 4 climbers transport from Osh to Base Camp and from Base Camp to Osh is provided on a shared basis and the day of transfer is variable depending on demand. The departure schedule of transfers should be reconfirmed with ITMC in advance. In rare cases for those who book arrival before July 15th or departure after August 20th an extra day in Osh or in Base Camp may be required.
  • Climbers are responsible for providing their own personal mountaineering gear and for choosing their own tactics for ascent.
  • Kyrgyz Airlines operating domestic flights Bishkek-Osh reserve the right to change airfares without prior notice (ITMC has no control over this and is not responsible for any changes or inconvenience incurred).
  • The Domestic Flight baggage allowance is 15kg per person, overweight  in excess of this is charged at US$1/kg.
  • If expedition groups prefer to send mountaineering gear/equipment to Bishkek or Osh in advance, ITMC can arrange customs clearance and provide delivery to Osh. Please contact ITMC directly for further detail..
  • Climbers must have medical insurance with a minimum cover of US$40,000.

  • Rent of satellite phone to take for ascent (safety deposit $ 400 is required): US$ 25 per day

  • Use of sat phone in ABC is free of charge, cost of calls and sms only are paid: US$ 4 / minute, US$ 2 / sms.


  • To guarantee your booking full payment for the confirmed trip should be made 8 weeks prior the 1st day of the trip. Failing to pay in time may result in full cancellation.
  • All service fees charged by banks or other financial institutions for payment processing must be paid by the Sender.

Cancellations and charges

There is no fee for changes or cancellations when made more than 21 days prior to arrival, but any actual expenses incurred relating to documents such as visa support, permits, or any other necessary official paperwork, will have to be paid for by the client;

  • There is a fee of '10% of ordered services' for changes or cancellations when made 15 to 21 days prior to arrival.
  • There is a fee of '50% of ordered services' for cancellations when made 7 to 14 days prior to arrival.
  • There is a fee of '100% of ordered services' for cancellations when made less than 7 days prior to arrival.
