ITMC is travel company, based in Kyrgyzstan, which started as adventure tourism center more than 30 years ago but now it also conducts various culture tours throughout Central Asia – in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and north-western China. Since 1989 ITMC has provided adventure and culture travel experiences for thousands of people in Europe, America, Australia and Asia. Now ITMC is a part of holding company which involves various business in tourism of Kyrgyzstan: Kyrgyz Alpine Club, Rescue in the Mountains Foundation, MC Pamir (mountaineering base camps in the area of Lenin Peak) and Silk Road Tourism Association.
ITMC offers the following kinds of travelling programs: travels along the Great Silk Road, trekking, mountaineering, expeditions, heli-skiing and ski tours, horseback riding tours, bike tours and educational programs.
The services, which ITMC provides:
– visa support and all formalities like police registration, permits all of kinds, etc;
– accommodation in hotels, also in traditional yurts, tents, and home-stays;
– transport by car, bus, plane, helicopter;
– food prepared and provided on all tours and treks;
– logistics: radio and satellite communication, travel equipment, guides, interpreters, porters, maps, etc.
Usually the company creates individual programs for its partners and clients.

International Tourist and Mountaineering Center (ITMC) was founded in 1989 and is the oldest private tourist company in the Kyrgyz Republic. The company operates under the ITMC brand and is registered as “Tien-Shan RTM 2” LLC

Vladimir Komissarov

Vladimir Komissarov has been engaged in mountaineering for more than 50 years. He is a candidate master of sports in mountaineering, instructor-methodist in mountaineering of the 1st category, mountain guide according to IFMGA standard, candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences, professor. He has more than 45 years of experience as a mountaineering instructor and mountain guide in expeditions and mountain camps in the Tien Shan and Pamir. Vladimir has made more than 350 ascents, 12 of them to peaks higher than 7000 meters. He is the author of more than 200 published scientific papers and textbooks on geology, tourism and mountaineering.
He is the director of ITMC, founding director of the Public Foundation “Rescue in Mountains”, president of the Kyrgyz Republican Alpine Club and the Silk Road Tourism Association. Vladimir lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Vladimir has been working in tourism for 20 years, he is a paraglider and active alpine skier. He joined ITMC in 2002 and has extensive experience in active programs and expeditions as a guide. He is our permanent base camp leader in Lenin Peak area. Also provides quality advice on all trips.
