Trekking trip in Pamir and ascent to Skobelev peak

Location:  Pamir, Kyrgyzstan

Duration: 8 days

Skobelev peak (5051m) is located in Kichik-Alay Valeey (Small Alayi from Kyrgyz language). The proposed itinerary is easy technically and does not require climbing experience. The programme is interesting for people who would like to enjoy virgin nature and to feel power and beauty of Pamir mountains. You will not meet big tourist groups here, the area is rear visited, because arrangement of approach, food and other staff supply is complicated here. The main part of itinerary goes at the altitude 2800m – 4000m; so, acclimatization is important for participants. Declared difficulty level is 1A-1B according to Russian (Soviet) classification.  Crossing of the mountain passes and fast rivers will make your journey exciting. 1^st Day.  Osh

Arrival in Osh, meeting at the airport, transfer to hotel. Sightseeing tour: Suleiman Mount and Museum at the foot of the mount, Famous Osh Bazaar (it open from 10:00 until 16:00). Last preparation before the trek. Accommodation in the hotel.

2^nd Day. Osh – Kashka-Suu Village

After breakfast transfer to the start point of the trek, located near Kashka-Suu village. Set the tent camp. Acclimatization and easy hiking along the valley. Overnight in tents.  

3^rd Day. Kashka-Suu Village – Kekjar River

Trek up along Kashka-Suu Valley to the head of Kekjar River. We will set up next camp at the confluence of two rivers. Overnight in tents.  

4^th Day. Kekjar River – Skobelov Peak

Full day of trek to the foot of Skobelev Peak.  Overnight in tent camp.

5^th Day. Skobelov Peak

After breakfast we continue ascending along river, and we will come to moraine. Overnight under the 4650m Pass.

6^th Day. Skobelov Peak – Kekjar River

Summit assault is planned for today. It is better to start early in the morning. Ascent to Skobeleva peak (5051m). Descent to Base Camp on the head of the Kekjar River.

7^th Day. Kekjar River – Osh

Descent to Kashka-Suu village where we will meet our driver and go to Osh.  Rest and overnight in the hotel.

8^th Day. Departure

Airport transfer takes 20 minutes. Departure to the next destination.

Group of 2 people = USD 1920 per person

Group of 6 people = USD 1230 per person

Single supplement = USD 45 per person per programme, available in Osh hotel only.
